About Claire

CLAIRE HARDWICK – OWNER & DESIGNER

Serendipitous moments in my life seem to have revolved around plants, and I love to share that joy with others.

I was born and raised in Edmonds, Washington. My love for plants started when I was 11 years old with designing my first cut flower garden for my floral creations. In 2007 after finishing high school, I pursued a career in Floristry, specializing in weddings and events. When 2008 hit with the recession, floral design opportunities became minuscule but knew I wanted my career to be plant based.

I graduated with a AAS degree in Environmental Horticulture from Lake Washington Institute of Technology in Kirkland, Washington; gaining a solid understanding of horticulture and sustainable gardening practices.

In September 2012, I ventured across the globe to pursue and obtain a Bachelor Hons Degree in Horticulture and Plantsmanship, taught at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh and awarded by the University of Glasgow.

After graduation in 2015, I moved back to the Pacific Northwest maintaining the grounds at the University Village in Seattle; gaining hands-on approach to organic plant care of a wide variety of plant material and plant design inspirations. In 2017, I plunged into landscape design taking courses taught at Edmonds Community College. Since 2018, I have solely focused my career as a Landscape Designer.

I have worked with and learned from the best, allowing me to gain landscape construction experience before establishing my own Landscape Design Business in September 2022.

I am a proud member of the Association of Professional Landscape Designers and the Northwest Horticultural Society.
